Ak Mohd Yusri Bin Pengiran Haji Yahya has won numerous awards since 1983. He was the winner of Bintang Kecil '83 (Children Singing Competition '83), winner of Traditional Song Competition 1989, winner of Song Writing Comnpetition 1990, winner of RTB Song Competition (Duet Category) and winner of RTB Competition (Saxophone 1993). He represented Brunei in Song-writing Competition at ABU Golden Kite World Song Festival Kuala Lumpur and has performed in Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta.

Shiniah, as she is well known. was a runner up (1993 and 1994) in the "Bintang Reniaja" singing contest organized annually by Radio Television Brunei. She was also one of the finalist in the 1994 "Bintang RTB" singing contest.
A keen dancer, Shimah has performed in several festivals organized by Asean-Coci, Radio Television Brunei. She is also a regular member of the Cultural Troupe of Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports.
